I know there was somebody there at mylicenceplate for the following reasons:
- they took my money
- I have their fingerprints permanently on my number plate
This came somewhat as a surprise to me because I'd actually decided that they must have gone out of business. I thought this because a few weeks ago I was trying to contact them about said fingerprints. And here they are:
Nice huh? These prominent and indelible marks passed their non-existent quality control and actually got sent to me.
So I emailed them a polite email informing them of my problem, with this picture attached. No reply. I emailed them again. No reply. I emailed another email address. No reply.
Then I phoned. No answer. I phoned another number. No answer. And another number. No answer. And then I phoned them all again on a different day just to make sure. No answer.
Then I used their contact form on the website. No reply.
So, after using their website, and after three unanswered emails to two different addresses, and six unanswered phonecalls to 3 different numbers, all over a period of about 3 weeks, I decided they must have gone out of business. Well they haven't, as last week they sent me a marketing email. It's now clear they just don't care.
My advice? Whether you're looking for number plates, decals, stripes, sunstrips, graphics, then go somewhere else. If you buy from mylicenceplate.co.uk you'll be met with a wall of silence if you need any help.

I have had the same problem, they have taken my money and not provided the plate, they do not reply to any emails. I have marked a read receipt on the ones i have sent. They do not answer the telephone at all, this is clearly a fraud and their website should be taken down. Do not go anywhere this site IT IS A FRAUD
i have had the same problem, they took my money and i have received no replies to my three emails. The telephone number just rings and rings, this is clearly a fraud. Do not tauch them do not buy anything and steer well clear from their website
I finally got a confirmation email that they were dispatching my number plate after i threantened to take legal action regarding criminal matter for fraud. This seems to have shaken them up. I await the delivery now
Thanks for sharing, nig31. They really should show concern, as anyone googling their business before buying will read about your experience here. And when I start posting about them on the relevant car forums it will only get worse. That's immeasurable lost business all for the sake of a couple of ten quid number plates.
This firm is a total con. Ordered a set of plates over two weeks ago and nothing.Web site says 1 to 3 working days. Took money straight away. Sent numerous emails and spent days phoning with no reply.They have just disappeared. Please note the address is mail shot drop off address..just type postcode into google street maps.

Same as above. Apart from I dealt with them a few months earlier and actually met one of their 'employees' because i needed the plates same day. They were perfect back then. I even got the guys name and stuff. Anyway, in November i ordered a set of plates. didn't come after 2 weeks. endless calling... someone WAS there though cos a few times it was engaged. Reported them to the office of fair trading (who clearly didn't follow it up even though the investigator was very interested.. he even read this blog). Emailed them saying they've been reported. plates arrived next day. CRAP quality... no British Standards BSau11d stamp on them which is a legal requirement. AVOID
mylicenceplate.co.uk used to be a very reputable and decent supplier of number plates, it then changed hands and went down hill. Like the comment above states 'they were perfect back then'. It's just a shame that the company was sold on as we used them all the time for our vans. I know the previous owner and have spoken with him about this, he doesn't understand why the person that bought the site from him kept it live whilst not running the business. Odd!
To be fair I've used the many times and they've always been fine.
same for me,i paid them for two plates and fixing screws and3 weeks later nothing.ive phoned and phoned,no answer,emailed them 3/4 times,no answer.i got in touch with sage pay who they use to take your money and they said its not to do with them contact vendor.i told them you cant.sent my conformation email to sagepay and their looking into it they say.wont hold my breath.what acrap set of tossers.i dont want the number plates now as ive ordered some more.like the money back tho and see them done for a con lot they are.ade.
as luck would have it i payed via credit card.their investigating and i may get my money back.this company is a con.dont go anywhere near them!cant contact and even contacted sagepay who take your money but not much good.this lot need prosecuting as their nothing but a con.hope my c.card company report it.steer well clear.
